Scandinavian management is known for its inclusive and democratic approach to employees, its flat structure and its high trust and appreciation of the employee’s ability to perform. And maybe most of all, it is known for its ability to promote creativity, mental health, and effectivity.

In this online course you will get a view behind the scenes of the Scandinavian management and learn how to implement this style of leadership in your organization.

You will though case studies, literature and practice be given a thorough knowledge of not only the theories behind Scandinavian management, but also how an everyday performs of Scandinavian leadership can look in your specific business.

From day one you will be given tools which you can bring back into your work life, to promote the development within your organization and your own management style.

You will through the course meet others like you, who are interested in an updated and well proven management style, that allows you to navigate today’s high pace work life, with greater demands of innovative solutions, and constant success, without losing focus on the wellbeing of your employees.

We will investigate all aspect of a Scandinavian management style, which include its challenges. This could be questions like: How to give freedom and trust to employees, without it develop into a lost structure, stress, and inefficiency? How to live up to the high demand on the managers ability to hold courage for change, carry a great potion of curiosity and open mindedness? Or, how to provide the time it takes to do good management?

Together we are going to take on a great adventure though a playful and experimental approach, that will lead us to you finding the management style that allows you to perform leadership in a way that helps you and your organization to grow.

Because, cooked down to a few sentences, Scandinavian leadership do not come though mass production, it is created in the specific situation, among concrete people and in lived life. Scandinavian Leadership does not hold a step-by-step guide, a to do list or an easy fix. It is a continues commitment to perform with integrity and deep awareness of all aspects of once organization and every human we cross on the way of making our business a success.

 

Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at directors and managers on all level of both private and public companies who have an interest in obtaining a management style, which pull on current knowledge of best performance within leadership. A management style that allows them to be human even while they perform the role of a leader. And a management style that lets humanity and great revenue go hand in hand.

The course is for directors and managers in large corporations as well as for small business owners. What is important is not your company’s size or products, not even your values or goals. What is important is that you are having a desire to think new thought, do new practices and to develop. Do you have desire to learn, this course will be for you.

The progress of the course:

The course runs over six months, with 8 online session

 

You will in between classes have to do practical exercises and have group sessions to discuss read literature.
