I have many professional roles: supervisor, educator, psychotherapist, manager, colleague, student, to name a few.
I was born in Denmark in the late ’80s, and for that reason I grew up in a welfare state. One thing this taught me was the power of the collective in an individual’s life. This made me interested in understanding how we can form collectives, such as schools, organizations, social groups, workplaces etc., in ways that lead to well-being among people.
While studying to become a Psychologist at the University of Copenhagen, I came across Hegel’s Concept of Recognition, and it was love at first sight. According to The Concept of Recognition, the well-being of humans goes hand in hand with a community in which the individual is receiving recognition.
My interest in recognition and well-being has led me to study Narrative Therapy and Neuro-Affective Developmental Psychology, because I have found these traditions’ practices particularly useful when it comes to facilitating recognition and well-being. However, my professional inspirations are diverse, and you will often find me referring to authors like Brené Brown, Daniel Goleman, Daniel J. Siegel or Meik Wiking.
My past has made me the adventurer that looks for ways to show recognition and spread well-being. I am going through this life with a desire to be brave enough to take a leap of faith, because as I see it, only from the most daring actions comes the greatest outcome.
